We process all samples using a fully automated system with no risk of contamination. This volume reduction of umbilical cord blood before cryopreservation is the preferred method applied for most public, private and family cord blood banks worldwide. For hematopoietic stem cell transplantations, only the white blood cells are required and represent the main therapeutic potential. The automated processing technique preserves also the highly immature stem cells with potential application for treatment of non-hematopoietic diseases.
Your sample is held securely until such a time as you may need it. With full parental request and consent, many samples have already been released from our facilities for treatments.
